WATER HISTORY & CONSERVATION

Key Notes for Gardeners:

  1. The garden is part of the City’s raw water system (directly from the river), and thus the water at the garden is sufficient for irrigation, but is non-potable. Please bring your own drinking water
  2. Due to fire and/or mudslides the City may be required to turn off the garden’s water supply periodically
    • In this situation, the board will work with the community center to set up a water source
    • But, this is typically a lower flowing water source and gardeners may need to supply their own water for their garden if it is not sufficient
  3. If the City implements irrigation restrictions, the garden (and all gardeners) should water on EVEN address days (because our address is 100 Wulfsohn)
  4. If you notice any issues with the water system, please notify a board member or someone at the community center ASAP
